About your new role:

Speirs Finance Group based in Albert Street, Auckland CBD have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Credit Manager or experienced Commercial Lender to join our Team. We're a rapidly growing finance business looking for a Senior Credit Manager with asset backed lending or vehicle leasing experience. Due to strong growth in volumes of business, we are expanding our Credit Team and looking for an additional experienced lender. Using your lending skills and experience, you will analyse credit applications, work with key internal and external stakeholders to decision lending opportunities within your delegated authority.

What you will need to succeed:

• Confidence in your timely decision-making ability
• Extensive knowledge of financial services, in particular asset finance and lending (direct loans and leasing) within a New Zealand Bank or Finance Company environment (essential)
• Sound commercial acumen and judgement with the ability to appropriately balance risk mitigation with sound commercial and pragmatic judgement
• Have held a delegated authority in your previous roles i.e. sole credit discretion
• A desire to continue to grow your knowledge and experience and assist with training and upskilling
• Capable of assessing economic, industry, and regulatory trends; and willing to help formulate credit policy changes
• Comfortable serving as a trusted partner with and advisor to executive level teams
• Flexible & nimble in both working style and view of risk management measures to adapt to dynamic risk conditions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

Your key areas of responsibility will be:

• Liaising closely with stakeholders to make well-informed Lending decisions & minimise credit risk
• Reporting & Analysis
• Policy Management
