About this role:

This role is critical in providing financial support to the business to achieve its significant strategic growth targets. You will add value through bringing in your accounting expertise and ensuring business transactions are accurately and timely reported in accordance with relevant accounting standards and other key regulatory requirements. You will work collaboratively with the wider business to ensure smooth delivery of critical day to day and monthly Finance deliverables for Speirs Finance Group (SFG). Innovation is a key to success in SFG as we look to automate and simplify our processes. Together with the Finance team, you will actively contribute, drive and implement transformative initiatives to modernise our overall operation.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Complete and automate month end activities, reports, other accounting business support functions and activities including annual external audit requirements
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial information and management reporting.
• Work with the Analyst in completing thorough testing on system developments.
• Identify process improvement and automation projects within the Finance team.
• Effectively work and collaborate with Finance team and other departments to drive timely outcome on key deliverables aligned with SFG strategic objectives, including development and improvement of processes and procedures

What you will need to succeed:

• Minimum 2 years of Post Qualified experience in Accounting
• Accounting and Finance experience of 5 years or more (ideally with experience in Financial Services or Leasing industry), with strong analytical skills
• Proven ability to implement process improvements
• Proven ability to prepare financial results and analysis within a tight timeframe
• Proven ability to work through complex issues
• Ability to network, develop relationships and interact with people at all levels of an organisation
• High level of independence, confidence, and resourcefulness
• Previous experience of MYOB, and Dynamics AX would be advantageous
